Hi friends — I’m the office lady here at Nuts and Volts Electric.
I hope everyone made it through the Florida “arctic blast” and is finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. With spring right around the corner, it already feels like a fresh start.

Personally, I’m extra excited for longer days and more time in the saddle. Between being a mom to three kids, five dogs, a horse, working full-time, and going to school, life stays pretty full. Finding time to finish projects or deep-clean the house can feel overwhelming some days.

But spring always reminds me that things reset. Homes get scrubbed, plants come back to life, and so do we. We all grow best with a little sunshine, good food, and water — and maybe a deep breath or two.

No matter what this season has thrown your way, or if the winter blues are lingering, keep your head up. Brighter days really are ahead.

Easy One-Pot Chili (Family Favorite)

This is our go-to dinner on busy nights — quick, simple, and everyone eats it.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey

  • 2 packets McCormick chili seasoning

  • 1 can Rotel

  • 1 (12 oz) can tomato sauce

  • 1 (12 oz) can tomato paste

  • 1 can water

Directions
Brown the meat in a pot and drain if needed. Add all remaining ingredients and the can of water. Stir well and let simmer until heated through.

That’s it. One pot, minimal cleanup.

How We Serve It
Top with cheese, sour cream, or whatever you love. In our house, tortilla chips for dipping are a must.
Bonus tip: Cook up some hot dogs and you’ve got instant chili dogs.
